A handy guide to VAT, credits, expiration dates, and other Q&A's.
Do credits have an expiry date?
Monthly Credit Subscription purchases have a six-month expiration period.
All other credits are valid for three months to redeem against enquiry purchases (except Plus credits which have a one-month expiration period).
Credits that have been refunded to your Unbiased account have an validity of three months.
How does VAT work with credits?
When you buy credits, we apply VAT on the amount purchased. For example, if you purchase 45 credits, you would be charged £45 (£1 per credit) plus VAT. Therefore, the total amount you pay is £54. If you then see an enquiry that is priced at 45 credits, you would use your 45 credits to pay for it.
VAT is applied to the purchase of credits (which you pay for in GBP), not to the purchase of an enquiry as you pay for enquiries using credits.
Can I receive my credits back to my original method of payment?
No cash refunds are permitted. Any valid reimbursement requests will only be in the form of credits added to your account as per Unbiased's terms and conditions.
Can my credits be transferred to another location if I move company?
Any request for credits to be transferred to another location to be assessed on a case by case basis. Please contact your Account Manager for more details.
What happens to my credits if I cancel my subscription?
Any available credits in your account can be redeemed against any enquiry purchases until the end of your active subscription. Once your subscription is no longer active any unused credits will also be cancelled and are not eligible for reimbursement.
